A garden teaches the importance of independence, consistency and care. Being able to start a garden from a small seed, caring for it daily and then eating the vegetables produced by your hard work and consistency will teach these students so many life skills and life lessons. Their is a large courtyard right at the entrance of our life skills building that could use some tender, love and care that would be beautiful to start an herb and vegetable garden.
As we grow in learning important life skills, we will be watching our vegetables and herbs grow in our garden.
