Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will learn how to use tools like fidget toys, play-dough, calming bottles and drums to manage their feelings. They will learn to use music in a therapeutic way to take care of themselves instead of losing control.

Our students need a calm place to work on self management when they are struggling emotionally.

Having a calming area with the right tools will serve this purpose for them.

Our students are eager to learn ways to control themselves while a the same time having a great time. They will feel so special knowing that people care enough to teach them how to use healthy ways to manage their feelings before acting out in a negative way. Play is an excellent way for students to distract themselves from difficult situations.
