My students need games to play at cooperative choice time with their friends and families. Included in this project are Build & Learn Geometric Shapes Kit, Trucks Spin & Count to 20 Activity Center, Building sets, and more.
I strive to foster independence in my students, which allows them to have a sense of pride and feelings of accomplishment. This encourages problem-solving when my students will be faced with challenges in the future.
I teach in a classroom where half of the day instruction is in English, and half of the day instruction is in Spanish.
I have both native Spanish and native English speakers in my class, as well as students who speak many other languages at home. In our class, my students are becoming readers and writers in both Spanish and English! Our diverse students love to learn!
My Project
My class needs cooperative games, math games and reading games to play during choice toy time. They also have the option to take these toys home to play with families to encourage family game time at home over the weekend!
We started this project a few months ago with a small set of games and toys and it's been such a success that we need more to expand the program!
These games teach essential math skills like counting and one-to-one correspondence. Other games encourage turn taking, waiting, and sharing. Please help my students learn through play- the most fun way!
