Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine wanting to express your feelings, request something, or even just to say something and you are unable to speak. That is what all of my students have in common. With your help they will be able to do all that.

My students are 5 year olds who have a communication delay.

They are fun loving wonderful little people who get frustrated fast for they are unable to use their voice to communicate correctly. They want to be able to talk and express their needs and wants. We are in a Title 1 school.

My Project

With these resources, I will be able to create communication cards for them. They will be laminated with added velcro material that the students can use as they need them to help them through out the day. When the students need an item or have a need to request something, then they will be able to exchange the laminated picture for the item. This will reduce the student's frustration. Please, help my students get adhesive velcros, letter sized Scotch pouches, and a laminator Scotch thermal to communicate better.

With these items, the students will not get as frustrated and will learn how to communicate in a different way.

Communication is important to all of us and your help will improve the communication for my students. Thank you for your consideration and support of my project.
