Learning to Collaborate Through Games

My Students

I work with an amazing group of culturally diverse students from all over the world and many of my students are refugees. These kids are working hard to not only learn 5th grade material, but to also master the English language.

I work in a large Title I school where the majority of our students receive free or reduce-priced lunch.

I also have several students who receive food bags for the weekend. These are amazing kids who just want to learn!

These kids are hard workers, but school closure due to Covid-19 has hit them hard.

My Project

We are going on 6 months of distance learning. This has been hard for my students and they are starting to show some kickback. I want to show my kids that learning can still be fun and exciting!

With Breakout EDU, students will be challenged and inspired while learning 21st century skills.

They will be required to collaborate, communicate, think critically, and be creative to problem solve their way through content aligned challenges.

The best part is, when schools return to in person learning, Breakout EDU comes right back to the classroom with us as an escape room style of content aligned challenges.
