Learning to Build in Theater

Help me give my students supplies for their set design unit in theater.

My Project

This coming semester in theater production, students will learn about the basics of set design, including safety, design, and a practical section of hands-on building.

Students will use these supplies to design, build, paint, and install set pieces for our spring musical.

In class, we have the tools to build items, but some supplies are used up with each new show and project we work on. Here, students can build platforms, paint them to look like natural stone, build art pieces to hang on the set, and craft faux wrought iron fencing. The challenge for students is to build fake items that all look real to the audience with these supplies.
