Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The effects of the pandemic have added more challenges to our students' lives. Students are in need of social and emotional support. Through this virtual professional development, I will learn how to integrate researched-based social-emotional learning practices into my daily instruction. The training includes trauma-informed teaching, accessible yoga classes, and meditation practices for young people. My students will benefit by applying these practices to our daily routines and lessons. They will learn these skills to help them deal with the social and emotional challenges they face. This training will also equip me to facilitate professional development for my school and district to share what I learn with other students.
