Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Some of my students have not yet discovered creative centers that capture their imaginations. This could be the year that magic happens and they fall in love with creative learning.
My students are excited and eager, not only to learn, but to become independent and self motivated learners.
I teach a group of smart and intelligent students who are underprivileged. My students love to learn and are very excited about hands-on activities. The materials and resources which I am asking for will greatly help my students close the academic gap. I service a Title I school that is lacking materials and resources. I believe that with the extra supplies and resources I am asking for will help my students gain confidence and learn at their full potential. I would like to thank all donors in advance for helping give my students the materials and resources that they need in order to soar.
My Project
My students need dry erase boards, dry erase markers, center activities, timers and storage. My students will be using the requested materials in Math and Science stations and centers. This is very important because I believe in supporting independent and confident learning. My students love working in centers and stations but unfortunately our class doesn't have the proper resources to be able to set up the centers properly. With these materials my students will learn key concepts that they need to master the Math STAAR and also get them ready for the Science STAAR in 5th grade. I am beyond excited to have the chance to get these materials for my students.
My project will make a difference because most of my students don't get instruction or help besides in school.
These materials will help the students learn how to engage themselves while learning and also give them the extra push that they need to continue to be interested in learning. I am a strong believer that teachers have to teach in all different styles and this is just one way that will help them be successful and motivated learners.
