My students are awesome individuals who come from low social-economic backgrounds. Our school has 95% of students receiving free or reduced lunch. They are always excited to learn, but they are limited to the exposure they receive using technology. I support students with a wide range of disabilites from specific learning disabilities, to emotional behavior disabilities. Their needs do not define them but push them to work hard. The students are very excited when they have the opportunity to work with computers, laptops, and other forms of technology. To be able to expose them to iPad usage will be another way to get them prepared to be 21st Century Learners.
My Project
Technology is a huge part of learning. Due to their low-income surroundings, my students do not have the privilege of using these high-tech expensive devices. These tools will help stimulate their minds and get them ready for real-world encounters with these devices. My students will use the technology for learning and enhancing their knowledge of the virtual world. We will learn how to explore the internet as well as how to take care of our school materials. I hope you support my students in any way possible so they to can be exposed to the new age technology.
