My students need a digital projector to help teach challenging subjects such as financial literacy.
This project expired on December 24, 2012.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
There are minimal forms of technology in our 3rd grade classroom. My students are unable to share what they have learned with others in an efficient and effective way. This presents a challenge as a teacher when trying to open their young minds to the world of information that is available to them.
Our eager to learn classroom has 26 diverse and unique students!
We are 1 class of 21 at a southern Nevada charter school whose mission is to create a society of academic, social, and personal growth so our students can be prepared for the journey to success in achieving their dreams.
In this technology driven world, it is my goal to teach in methods that interest students the most! Through obtaining a projector, our one computer classroom will be able to share interesting articles, interactive science projects, and power point presentations. As a teacher, I will be able to enhance my reading and math instruction as well as introduce students to financial literacy, all while projecting information onto the board for whole class learning and participation. The technology a projector would provide is endless through the use of these great educational tools, I will be able to differentiate instruction, and promote creativity.
Through the addition of a projector in my classroom I will be able to engage students on a new level and teach an important life skill not always implemented in classrooms, financial literacy.
As a class students will benefit in that lessons can be brought to life with the use of a projector! This will allow me to provide my students with the most instructional support possible.
