This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from low-income families. We have 100% free breakfast and lunch for every child. Students are not always able to access some of the resources that would help them succeed educationally. My students are thankful for the resources they do have. They are eager to learn and thankful for any opportunity they are given.

Our world is driven by technology.

My students need access to different outlets to help them learn as much as possible. Technology allows students to be exposed to so much diverse and meaningful content that they otherwise would never know.

My Project

Students can use the iPad to work in centers. There are a ton of apps I love to use to help work on math and reading skills. My students consist of many English language learners and we can work on so many different skills to help them learn and grow.

Having an iPad in the classroom will help in more ways than one.

This tool can also be used to help in the library. We can keep track of the books that are checked out and checked in. This allows me to monitor whether students are reading books that are appropriate for their level.
