My Students

My students are a diverse group of learners from all types of backgrounds. They deserve an opportunity to learn in a school setting just like any other student. The students in my class attend our Title I school at varying academic levels. These students deserve the very best education they can get and I believe it is my goal as their teacher to help them achieve any academic goal they wish to reach whether it be through reading, math, or science.

My Project

I have chosen an Osmo and correlating materials to go with it to be able to give my students one opportunity to have some differentiated instruction during their rotations for math and reading. Using the Osmo for math will provide many unique opportunities for students to build on the knowledge they have in different opportunities with a hands-on approach.

Sometimes with our math centers it's not always easy to differentiate for different learners.

The same goes for reading. Both subjects are important as to make way for students to gain further knowledge in a particular subject area but keeping a first grader's interest can be challenging at times.
