Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are preschoolers who come from various backgrounds. They attend an inner city school and 100% of them receive free and reduced-price lunch and live below the poverty level.

These students come from different backgrounds and ethnicities.

I have students who speak Arabic and Spanish. A few of my students are Hispanic, Muslim, and African American. What I know about these students is they are dreamers, and thinkers and have a love for learning.

My students lack the supplies to learn through STEM kits. STEM kits will allow students various opportunities. Students will be able to ask open ended questions and learn through hands on exploration of how to make things work.

My Project

Our class will be receiving iPads from another grant. My students will need the two requested tables to house their iPads, allowing for safe keeping and growing up of knowledge. The iPads will allow my students to boost their knowledge in all cognitive and academic areas through various apps that are available.

The tables housing the iPads will allow my students to sit up to the iPads in an age appropriate and healthy manner.

The iPads will be protected from breaking.

My students will be completing testing on tablets in the future and learning to sit appropriately and use the iPads is an important part of our curriculum to teach.
