My Students

My students are in need of laptop computers to help them get the most out of their education.

Everyday I strive to make learning a new and exciting experience.

I teach 7th grade in Bayside, NY. Many of my students are new to this country and speak a variety of different languages. I try to utilize many different learning techniques and strategies to best reach all the students. The ability to do research in the room or watch a relevant video on the topic will only enhance what my students can get from a lesson.

My Project

Everday I strive to make learning a new and exciting experience for my students. There is an emphasise on using technology in our lessons. Unfortunately, there are only two computer carts for at least 15 different teachers to share. I dont usually have access to the computer more than twice a month.

Many of the labs done in science involve different stations, such as a research station, which invovles answer questions based on information they researched on the internet.

Other stations involve watching video clips on various topics and again discussing what was learned from the clip. My students would benefit from havinge access to the computers in their classroom on a daily basis. In oder for my student to get real world experience in the classroom they need to be able to access technology every day. Wether it is to look up science news articles or have acess to required video clips.
