My Project

My second graders are bright, curious, and full of questions about the world around them. They love to explore and discover new ideas through hands-on experiences. Their excitement grows when they get to interact with materials that make science come alive, turning abstract concepts into something they can see, touch, and understand.

I am requesting engaging STEM resources, along with a storage cart, to provide my students with meaningful opportunities to explore science in a fun and interactive way.

The Speks Ferrite Putty with magnetic stones will allow students to explore magnetism in a tactile and exciting way. They will be able to test attraction and repulsion while developing curiosity about how magnets work in everyday life.

The Froggie Lab Dissection Plush Toy will introduce students to anatomy in an age-appropriate, hands-on way. Instead of only reading about body parts, my students will be able to see and explore them by taking apart and reassembling the plush frog. This will build both curiosity and understanding.

The Human Body Model will give students a chance to see the body’s organs and systems up close. They will be able to take apart and reassemble the pieces, making learning about anatomy more concrete and memorable.

To keep these materials organized and accessible, I am requesting a 2-tier utility cart. This cart will allow me to store the STEM tools neatly so students can easily access them during our science lessons and centers. Organization will help maximize our learning time and keep resources in good condition for repeated use.

Hands-on exploration helps students connect learning to the real world. By giving my students access to these STEM resources, you will spark their natural curiosity, support critical thinking, and encourage problem-solving skills. With your support, science in our classroom will be exciting, and interactive.
