My Project

What I love about my students is their desire to learn when they are in an environment that feels safe -- an environment where mistakes aren't punished. Where mistakes are nurtured. They are such special kids not by only virtue of who they are as individuals but who they continue to be despite many of them facing difficult life experiences.

With the decodable books, I hope to continue to foster a supportive learning environment -- especially through means of literacy.

I want to create more resources for students that derive from teaching with "The science of Reading" involved as opposed to outdated methods like balanced literacy and Lucy Caulkins.
