Through purposeful play, my students are developing skills for problem solving, creative thinking, and social emotional competence. During the day we make time to engage in collaborative work using open-ended materials such as building sets, art, and text. In this way, students begin to think critically about the world around them and learn to work together to solve problems.

Using creative building kits such as marble runs, blocks, and other building tools and carefully selected art materials, children are able to begin to imagine what's possible, what could be, or how they might take action to make a change in the world around them.
