This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is a place for discovery, creativity, and development of new concepts and vocabulary. The children take knowledge gained from books read aloud, and demonstrate their understanding as they dress in career specific costumes or play with the wooden community helpers.

The items on my wish list provide the children with the real objects they can manipulate to deepen their understanding.

It is through play that the children explore concepts and relationships. These hands on materials allow the children to process new information and learn new vocabulary. Learning through play is a necessary component of early childhood learning.
