My Project

In our school community, our students, especially our youngest learners, struggle tremendously with learning many basic skills due to a lack of support at home with their development and growth. Students are coming to school not knowing how to hold pencil or even count to 5. Furthermore, keeping students engaged in learning is getting increasingly more difficult due to the draw of technology and use of it as a babysitter.

It is for this reason that I have created this project to help my classroom get some fun and engaging resources that my students can use to learn many of these basic and fundamental skills through play.

Items like alphabet Legos, fine motor sorting, and number puzzles will serve as varying activities that will hold students' attention while also helping them learn their ABCs and 123s.
