This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Having items like Jenga, Connect Four, Uno, Tic Tac Toe, and checkers in my classroom is incredibly beneficial for my students. These classic games offer much more than just entertainment; they foster crucial skills that contribute to their social, emotional, and behavioral development.

When students engage in these games, they learn the value of patience, cooperation, and good sportsmanship.

Through playing together, they develop empathy and understanding for their peers, learning to celebrate victories graciously and navigate disappointments with resilience. These games also provide opportunities for students to practice turn-taking, communication, and problem-solving skills in a supportive and enjoyable environment. As they strategize, negotiate, and interact with each other, they strengthen their social skills and build meaningful connections with their classmates. Overall, these games promote a positive classroom culture where students feel included, supported, and valued, laying the foundation for a conducive learning environment.
