Help me give my students the opportunity to learn through play. Students that have the chance to play build problem-solving skills, perseverance, social-emotional skills, and so much more. Students need puzzles and hands on actives for learning.
Learning through play is an effective way to build academic, functional. and social-emotional skills. Life skill students learn through various modalities, enjoying hands on activities. Part of their day needs to be spent with kinesthetic activities to support their fine and gross motor skills. Play supports learning of problems-solving, peer relationships skills, social-emotional learning, sharing, perseverance, academic supports and so much more. As a teacher, enhancing the way my students learn supports the passion that I have for teaching. Students deserve the chance to learn through play, through teacher led groups, and interaction with peers. Items I am requesting are such things as marble building sets, building blocks, connecting tiles and hands on manipulative. The more hands on activities that can be brought to the classroom, the more engages students will become. This project meets learning needs of all students, at all learning and functional levels.
