My Project

My first graders are curious and thrive on learning in a variety of ways, especially through play and creating with others. One way I nurture their curiousity and excitement at school is to supply STEM bins in the mornings and during choice time, so they can learn and work together and feel excited to come in to class in the morning. The lego items and building items I have selected will make the STEM bins in the classroom more varied and keep the excitement going all year long.

Our classroom is also in need of comfy pillows so students can sit in places that work best for them to learn, work, read and do other activities.

I have requested a set of comfy pillows to help my students to help them have a choice in where they sit throughout the day.

I requested a new math game called Sum Swamp, that the children love. They don't even realize they are practicing math while having so much fun playing the game. Ours was finally broken last year so we are in need of a new one. I have requested the Little Spot Books to help teach my little learners about different emotions and how to manage them effectively in the classroom, in the school and outside of school. I also requested sets of familiy dolls and a set of of castle dolls to add to our choice time play with a castle we already have.
