This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The jump from kindergarten to first grade can be challenging. It is more academically rigorous and they are still so developmentally young and playful at heart. I would love to have more toys on hand in my classroom to utilize as incentives, during centers, for enrichment, exploration of new concepts, and to create models for STEM activities.
"Play is our brain's favorite way of learning" by Diane Ackerman says it best.
This group of students was 3 during the pandemic and they developmentally need support due to the learning loss caused by COVID. I am asking for sterilite containers to house the following toys. Legos, AFUNX magnet tiles, and STEM toys to help support creativity, independence, social development, educational efficacy, exploration, and much more. Please consider donating if you can!
