Help me give my students diverse and realistic interest areas to help them learn through play, like the washable sensory sets and the realistic working cash register.
My students are children with active duty or retired military parents and or guardians. Our program is new to our community and it is a federally funded Early Headstart program for low-income families.
They are little sponges and love ALL books!
In my class, there are a few English as a second language learners and I would love to provide bilingual books in order for all my students to have the same opportunity to enjoy their favorite books and for the class as a whole to have exposure to the dual language.
My Project
My students are intrigued by different interests areas. They all love to explore diverse jobs and careers through play. They pretend to shop and check out and then take the items home and cook. With our project list, they will be able to learn through play with a realistic cash register and through touch with the different sensory toys.
My students are great future productive members of our communities and with your help, they will learn as they play.
They enthusiastically dress up as military members, doctors, nurses, hairdressers, moms, and dads. We share and discuss their interest. Play is the way young children learn and my students are in need of some educational interest areas. Please help me give them exciting new ways to play and learn.
