My students need Community Block Play People, Block Play People with Differing Abilities and a doll house. They also need materials to help expand their creativity in the block center like the Community Garages.
"You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives." ~ Clay P. Bedford.
Our classroom is an active and happening place.
We love to move and explore. Our mission is to become lifelong learners. My students are four and five years old, and they are just beginning to explore the world they live in. Many of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
Many of our students face a lot of adversity in their lives, but they still come to school each day, ready to work hard! To them, school is a place where they feel safe, loved, and valued. Motivating my students to read and learn is crucial, particularly with the higher demands of the new standards.
My Project
Engaging materials in our block area and a doll house will benefit my students so much. The materials will help them learn how to share, take turns, and be good friends.
The materials will also encourage pretend play and language development.
The play people dolls will expose them to different cultures and to people will differing abilities. Students can pretend to be a family member or a community helper. The Community Garages, Community Signs and Block Play Tree Set will allow students to add detail to the structures they build. They will be able to use new vocabulary as they describe what they built.
My students leave an impact on me every year and I believe each one of my students is placed in my room for a reason. I want to give my students the best learning opportunity I can, and these materials will help me give that to my students. Add some magic to my classroom and please donate.
