My Project
Hi Everyone! I am asking for donations for a Light Table and Sensory Objects for my preschool classroom! I currently teach in an integrated classroom. This means I have around 20 students, ages 3-5 with multiple disabilities and typically developing. There has been science supporting early learning experiences happen through play. All children should be given an equal opportunity to learn- sometimes it is through cutting/gluing, academics, and worksheets. But that is not meant for everyone including students with such disabilities that limit their motor function, or have a language impairment. Our students need hands on experiences to develop and meet the Missouri Early Learning Standards. All students have the ability- it is how you differentiate to meet the individual students needs. In Early Childhood this typically done through play and hands on exposure. This light table will create the perfect environment for hands on learning. Guided instruction through play and objectives is the way!
More than a third of students from low‑income households
