My Project
My students are in preschool and love anything that is hands-on! Learning through play is their favorite thing and with functional, educational manipulatives, it allows them to do just that. This year, we need more activities that students can engage with that will tie in academics as well. I'm requesting more letter, number, and shape manipulatives as preschool is a prime time to be learning these essential skills. These materials also require the students to use their fine motor skills which is another milestone we strive to see students accomplish in their preschool years. These materials will be used during our table-top time at the beginning of the day to get their brains stimulated and ready to learn.
Too often, electronics are the center of children's lives, so a doll house with furniture and people is a great way to support students' imaginative play and social skills as they interact with their peers in the classroom.
I want to give my students the opportunity to let their imagination fly and foster those skills as they grow.
