Help me give my students more learning materials to expand their imagination. Being able to make gifts for the parents with the flower pots can help the children show their appreciation for them!
I work at Head Start which has low-income families and students. These families cannot always give their children all the learning materials they need at home and that’s where I step in. These kids walk into my room daily eager to learn and I give them 100% what I can to let them do just that! We as a school community try to come together to get what we need for our children but sometimes we need some outside help!
My Project
Having new items for the children to play and have access to will keep the children ready to learn and excited about learning.
Sensory play will facilitate exploration and naturally encourage children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore.Having more sensory materials in the classroom like sensory slime and water marbles will help stimulate their senses.
Being able to provide new items for the children to play with like new traffic signs will help make connections to the real world. Having things that they see everyday helps make that connection to how the world operates and how things are used in the real world.
