Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every year I have approximately 25 students in my class. Many of them come from low-income families and are often learning English as a second or third language. Like all children, my students love to learn and celebrate their achievements, and I love to watch them as they discover, explore, and create. They have a passion for learning that needs to be enriched or it will be lost. I would like to provide more opportunities for hands-on learning to occur. Through play, kindergarten students can practice spoken language and social and emotional skills.

My Project

Please help support my students in their learning, discovery, and play. The building materials will be used for STEM activities. The microscopes for learning about things smaller than us. The train tracks, trains, tools, and kitchen wear will benefit them in learning how things work and using their imagination through play.

All of these materials will create moments for my students to use their speaking and listening skills.
