My Students
I work with 18 Pre-Kindergarten students who come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Many are learning English as their second language. The majority of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch. For many of them, this is their first school experience. Our school has grades Pre-K through 5th grade.
My students are curious and eager to learn!
My goal this year is to create a nurturing environment where my students become independent learners, thinkers, and problem solvers. We are creating the future leaders of the world!
My Project

Incorporating music into our day enhances the learning experience.
Recently, our classroom record player broke. One of our class jobs is the 'Class DJ'. This student gets to pick music to be played while students work and play in their centers. They are able to choose from our collection of vinyl: jazz, classical and bossanova classics.
The new instruments will also help to build our music center. Students will be able to play a variety of music along with the classics played in class. We hope to create a love of the arts and music in our young learners.
