My Project

My students amaze me every day! They come to school eager to learn and grow. Our school is a magical place to be and my team is very special. We are all there to provide the best learning experience and environment for “our children”.

My students come from all walks of life, but most of my students come from poverty.

No matter what is happening in their lives, my students come to school ready to learn. Many students do not have opportunities outside of school that others have. I want to be able to provide as many opportunities as possible for my students so that they can be prepared to fulfill their life dreams.

Studying good storytelling together will make a huge impact on my students developing a love of reading and writing! The Magic Tree House, Dinosaurs Before Dark will allow us to explore storytelling, reading and writing, and build critical thinking skills within reading. We are planning many literary activities that will help the students to increase their reading ability and develop attachments to good literature. Introducing new and good books to children helps them to branch out and explore different types of reading.

Please help our second grade students in their adventure toward reading success.
