My Project
A new classroom library filled with engaging books will get my 6th grade students excited to read! Rich texts play a crucial role in the development of middle school students, as they provide a gateway to enhanced learning and growth. The importance of exposing students to a plethora of books cannot be overstated, as it can broaden their horizons, expand their knowledge, and develop critical thinking skills.
Rich texts offer a tapestry of diverse ideas, perspectives, and experiences, fostering empathy, understanding, and tolerance among my students!
Included in this list of books are those that relate to science, adolescence, sports, technology, culture, diversity, history, and so much more! Reading a wide range of texts allows students to engage with various subject matters, sparking curiosity, creativity, and a thirst for knowledge! We will ensure to spoil these books as my students know that it is such a privilege to be stocked with a full classroom library!
My students are brilliant and creative and I want to make sure they are provided with every opportunity and experience to grow their love for reading and this library will be the first step in the right direction!
