My Students
I teach kindergarten and my goal is always to make learning as fun as possible, whether through curriculum or play. My school is a Title I school that is located in a low income neighborhood where more than 90% of students receive free and reduced price lunch. Keeping this in mind, I strive to provide the best learning opportunities as possible. I want my students to foster a love for learning, and in order for this to happen they need supplies to help them succeed. When my students are provided the correct materials, the possibilities of learning and growth are endless.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." I know exactly where everything will go and how it will be used within the classroom. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The book bins will be used to store new books that I will be adding to the students library. The rug, along with the floor cushions will be used in in the library area. This will allow students to get comfy while practicing their literacy skills. The literacy activities will be used during center time. This will give students an opportunity to practice skills that will improve their reading ability. The ink will be used for the classroom printer to help make hands on activity stations. All the materials I am asking for will be used within the classroom to help boost my students literacy skills.
