My students need hands on materials to use during centers and small group interventions. Tactile letter, change-a sound flip books, and sight word cards will help reach different learning styles.
My students love going to centers! My class enjoys working with the centers we currently have, but would love to add these materials to our classroom.
I teach kindergarten in a small, rural public school.
I have a class of 15 students. My students are eager to learn and love participating in centers. Some students do not come to school with the foundation to begin reading. The materials will help aid those students and help them gain the confidence to start reading! Our school is an ABC member through APSRC.
My Project
My students need hands on materials to use during centers and small group interventions. Tactile letter, change-a sound flip books, and sight word cards will help reach different learning styles. We will use these materials on a daily basis. Everyday we rotate in small groups for a hour during guided reading. Students go to big book, word work, phonics center, sight word station, and many more. Having these materials will provide my students with more hands-on resources. I have requested specific materials that allow the students to work on their skills in rhyming, sight words, letter sounds, and letter identification.
Having these materials in our classroom will engage my students in fun, interactive literacy centers!
The materials will also help reach the different learning styles in my classroom.
