This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students sometimes need incentives to do well in class and many of my creative students have asked for Legos! What a great reward to earn!
LEGO bricks help build imagination and engineering/problem-solving skills, not to mention that sense of pride and accomplishment when the LEGO build is complete!
It's a great way to build the confidence of a middle schooler.
LEGO bricks can be expensive and as the majority of our students are low-income, they may not have discretionary spending funds to purchase fun activities like this. Many have expressed interest in building Legos and I would love to be part of fostering that growth.
