Do you remember using a computer in the classroom? I do, but it sat in a corner, and it really couldn't do much! Nowadays, computers can do so many things, and take students so far!
I have a variety of students in my room.
They range from very low income, and needing tons of support from school, to higher income students, who have supportive parents at home. Our school is a rather large elementary school of about 600 students.
My Project
A laptop in the classroom would be a wonderful addition to the learning of my students. Believe it or not, my classroom doesn't currently have a computer. We would be able to do so much more than we currently do. Our major research project is on famous Missourians; I can just picture the fun my students would have being able to use a computer in our room, instead of going to the computer lab each time we have the need. Quite a few of my students do not even have a computer in their home, so this would be a definite learning opportunity for them!
Computers in this current world are vital.
Technology is the main focus on everything these days. My students need this laptop to begin the kind of learning they are going to be expected to know later on in high school, college, and in their future career.
