My Project

Preschool provides an incredible opportunity for young children to learn, grow and develop through play. Play is vital for my students to build skills, establish relationships and foster healthy brain development. Additionally, learning through play builds confidence and increases feelings of self-esteem and self-worth as children explore, ask questions and create.

The materials I chose will benefit my students by allowing them various and numerous opportunities to engage in exploratory play across many domains such as physical development (both gross and fine motor), cognitive development (counting, letter recognition, shapes), language development (phonemic awareness skills such as beginning sounds and rhyming), and brain development (sensory exploration and creative activities such as art and music).

The magnetic puzzles will develop fine motor skills and spatial awareness development. The counting cars will be a fun way for my students to practice numeral correspondence and counting. I am so excited to use the toys as important tools in growth and learning in my classroom!
