Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest," Benjamin Franklin said, and my students are an investment that I know will pay off well one day. All they need are the resources to achieve their goals.
My students are an amazing group of students who attend a Title one school in the Bronx.
They are part of an ICT class in which there are special needs and general education students. They work really hard everyday to overcome the challenges they face. We instill in them that if they work hard, they will achieve their goals and be successful. We don't always have the materials and resources readily available to help achieve those goals. This project would be starting point to help in that success.
My Project
The population of students in my class need multiple entry points in a lesson. Many of them learn best through games and hands-on learning activities, as opposed to worksheets and workbooks. The games will reinforce skills, as well as, provide an activity that is fun and challenging for them!
This project is important to me and my students because it will give them a different prospective on learning.
The students will be engaged in an activity that will help them to learn the skills they need to pass the state test and have fun while doing it.
