My Project

My students come from an Urban Title 1 School. They are very hard workers! I love how excited they get when I am able to bring new games and activities into the classroom. When I introduce new "games," they listen intently and try their best to follow the instructions.

These new small group activities will bring excitement and growth through play to my students.

I chose a variety of fun learning activities for both literacy and math. The different scales will allow students to visually see the process and help with addition and subtraction fluency. I chose a variety of different literacy games to help with CVC words. The magnets to help spell words with silent "e" and blends. I found a fun game with short vowels that I know they will love! I also chose board games to assist with turn taking as well as blending words. Lastly, I chose blending trays and magnetic 10 frames to use both in whole group and small group to build fluency in reading and math.
