My students need flexible seating furniture to enhance learning experiences and promote community building in the classroom.

Our School District's mission statement is: "Student Centered. Fully Prepared and Life Ready." I feel that connects so well with our implementation of the Leader in Me philosophy. Students are learning how to lead by positive example through the 7 Habits and with your help, we can provide them with materials that set them up for success!
The entire student body of FPS is filled with such a diverse group of students coming from so many different backgrounds- with your help, we can update the classroom furniture to meet the needs of so many high energy, high thinking students.
Thank you for your continued support! Let's keep on moving forward together!
Ask anyone who knows me (especially my wife).... I can't sit still! I love to learn BUT..the need to move is very apparent in my style of teaching. And I strongly believe that an active body and mind requires an environment that not only supports it but encourages it.
Flexible seating allows students of all learning abilities the opportunity to move to different areas of the room, move their bodies while learning, and to socialize with all students in the classroom.
With your help, I will be able to get a class set of tables that allow students that chance! I honestly designed this particular project based on my observations with all my students and my own personal experiences while obtaining my Masters in education. All of my educational classes involved tables and the ability to move around the room. I'd like to take that same concept and make it a reality here at my school.
It has been over a year since my accident in 2016 where I broke my back. Since then, I have had a strong appreciation for standing, stretching, and moving around throughout the day. In fact, I have a standing desk and a yoga ball for a chair now. Because I stretch a ton in class, I have seen my attention span, energy levels, and abilities to stay positive grow drastically. Why not pass that opportunity on to the kiddos?! With your help...this can happen! Thank you again for making this possible! Our school is always so grateful for your continued support!
