My Students
My school is in the suburbs of a large city and has a variety of families, including military families, low socio-economic, and many different cultures. My students are kindergarteners and are inquisitive, quick learners!
My kindergarteners are more engaged with a variety of activities; I love to provide new, fun ways to practice essential skills and watch them make progress in leaps and bounds.
My goal, for whatever skill we are learning in my classroom, is that my students have a variety of experiences and ways to learn new things!
My Project
My students will be so excited to use these center items! My project's main focus is learning through hands-on play and exploration. The hands on science centers will reinforce science concepts we are learning about in the classroom and give students extra time to explore those concepts in a center. My students will be able to use the community cars and garages while in the block center.
In our house center, they will use the grocery set to pretend they are at a grocery store or market.
The mailbox will be used in our writing center so they can write letters to each other. They will enjoy practicing sight words with the sight word fishing game.
They'll gain knowledge of number concepts by using the 10 frame dice for various math activities. We can use the tub of animals for play or as manipulatives for math. These materials will be utilized in so many different ways in my classroom!
