Learning Through Demonstration and Technology

My Project

My 5th grade students are very curious when it comes to what they learn in school. They want to understand why things are they way they are and learn this information through hands on activities. In my classroom, students learn through demonstrations, hands on activities, and technology usage. Students get a chance to see things in action, try things on their own, and utilize technology to help their knowledge grow.

They learn best when they can clearly understand what they are to do and how to do it.

The main thing I am in need of is a raised table to allow for demonstrations. So many times the students in the back of the room can't see what they need to do. A raised and portable table will allow me to easily show all students what they need to do from anywhere in the classroom. My students also frequently use technology and headphones allow students to interact with videos and simulations. We also do a lot of projects so scissors and wipes will come in handy.
