My Students
Do you ever remember sitting in class trying to sit still but wanting to express what you are learning through the arts? My students need a dance residency program. This program allows expression of learning. Students are empowered through art.
Our students are motivated to learn.
Many have parents who are attending the local university, some are new to the country, and a few are bussed in from various parts of the city to attend our special program for students with special academic needs, but most are from the local neighborhood.
My Project
The average 7-year-old has a hard time sitting still for more than forty-five minutes. Imagine being able to express literature, science, and math through movement. Students will create dances to demonstrate the rotation of the planets, the rock cycle, and what they are reading in literature.
Your donation to this project will allow students to express themselves through the arts using integration of concepts.
This will help students to get their blood pumping and learn through movement. Many students learn this way, and others need to express themselves using their whole bodies to show what they know. Many quiet students are able to blossom when they are empowered through the arts.
