Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our school in Queens is a fascinating place for children to learn. This project was developed with those students in mind. By funding this project, students will have an opportunity to engage in project based learning with their peers.

Being a Stem school, students have had the opportunity to engage in learning in a different way.

Students have found ways to infuse coding across all subject areas. The items included in this project will help students engage in coding activities. Students will use technology to complete obstacles and paper resources when working in collaborative groups. The easel pads will be used to construct anchor charts around the classroom for students to refer to. They will also be used to record their findings. We all know that every child doesn't share the same needs. Flexible seating is provided to ensure that students with sensory challenges stay engaged. This has made learning fun and engaging!
