This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are movers in the classroom and seating options will provide them with the flexibility to study where they are most comfortable. Flexible seating empowers my students and improves behavior and academic achievement. Offering the use of bean bags and yoga balls in the classroom will help students feel like they have an individual micro-space within the classroom and they will be empowered to choose where they do their best work. The benefits of flexible seating include spontaneous collaboration and hands on learning, boosts focus especially for students who are sensory sensitive, promotes self regulation, helps develop social-emotional skills, and encourages healthy movement during the day.
