Help me give my students a great Pre-K experience with these great learning tools! Our charts are a great way to engage the students and make learning fun!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach Pre-K in a large New York City school. I have 20 students in my class who are incredibly creative and funny. I call them my "smart cookies" because they love to learn. They come from diverse backgrounds and have strong family ties.
Each student is creative and knowledgeable in their own personal way.
They all contribute to the class differently. I like to build a sense of community within my classroom. We learn and grow together. We help each other. The children come from different cultural and economic backgrounds, however, most have good support systems at home. Many of my students at the beginning of the school year are shy and timid. By the end of the school year they are bright, shining stars! The transformation is remarkable.
My Project
Students will be able to use their attendance chart independently during arrival and dismissal. The learning center chart will be used by all during our morning meeting- we will review our letter, weather, days of the week, months of the year, etc.
Our daily schedule chart will be used so the students can see what happens during that specific day including any celebrations.
Our walking rope will help the students learn how to walk in straight lines when we go outside. All of these educational tools will engage the students daily.
