My Students

Do you remember how excited you were to get your supply list and go shopping for school supplies. Well for many of my students the excitement is there but the funds to have the supplies are not.

The first graders in my classroom are ready to learn new and exciting things.

My students sit in a classroom that when you look around is culturally balanced, they come from various countries and speak various languages at home. The students in my class come from families that are struggling financially. The students attend a Title I school where funds are limited to purchase things that will enhance their learning outside of a textbook. The students in my class are hands-on learners, and learn better without a pencil in their hands. Many of my students also suffer from attention deficit disorder, in which distraction overrides their learning.

My Project

The resources that I am requesting for my students will help them with their everyday learning. The materials will help my students make projects colorful and creative. The students will be able do their daily station activities that always involve crayons, scissors and glue sticks. The ink pad will allow students to practice stamping sight words, math equations, and make their own stories. Pencils seem to be a staple of all classrooms, and run out the quickest.

Please help the success of my students by helping them receive the materials needed to be a successful student.

These materials are essential to a first graders every day learning, and the staple of every elementary classroom everywhere.
