Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach Spanish at a Title I high school in the Los Angeles area. More than 70% of our students qualify for free lunch. My students enjoy learning Spanish through different sources besides the textbook. They enjoy the different technology applications that we use in class.
My Project
Teaching a foreign language requires a lot of creativity and imagination to accommodate for all learners. Students learn through different methods of teaching such as kinesthetically, auditory and visually. These tiles will help not only my kinesthetic learners but all learners in my class. Students will be able to engage in activities that will not require them to do writing or being in front of the screen, but they will still learn and improve their sentence structure. With these tiles students can practice independent work as well as team work.
