Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Flexible seating allows for the opportunity for students to have a sense of control over their ability to learn. Establishing the rules and routines surrounding flexible seating will need to be taught, retaught, and modeled for successful arrangements. Students need movement to move their bodies to make the lesson more engaging. Students who are allowed to have activities can continue to focus and have the choice opportunity. This can help reduce behaviors and negative associations with school. Students can also be comfortable while learning, which can increase engagement. Flexible seating also allows for increased collaboration opportunities and creative outlets. Please donate to our classroom!
