Learning Science Through Aquaponics

My students need an Aquaponics kit to show how fish waste can become nutrients for plant growth.

My Students

Each student is unique and learns their own way. They shine when they are doing interesting things and there is always a story to share!

Students at our school are able to learn a trade while completing their education.

This gives students the ability to prepare for life beyond graduation as they work through their academic career.

My students go home and tend to farm animals, play on busy streets, translate for their parents, and live life to the fullest!

My Project

Biology is a very complex topic. I want to demonstrate how nutrients can cycle within an environment and how plants can be a cost effective method of taking care of our aquatic life.

This equipment will allow students to measure, compare, and track levels of ammonia, nitrites, and pH between 2 aquatic environments.

Students can determine how effective plants are at balancing out aquatic environments. They can monitor the costs to maintain the environment and come up with plans to help improve the nearby waterways.

There's something to be said about hands-on activities. Students have an easier time understanding the information.
